I write weekly about storytelling, communication design, and social impact for founders, marketers and creatives who want to lead with purpose.

I’m Helena Traill — aka Translation Traill — and this is my weekly blog for creative leaders who want to tell better stories, drive social change, and make marketing that actually means something.

I’ve always lived in a cycle of: Ideas → Iteration → Implementation — and that’s exactly how this blog works too.

Each week I share insights on:

  • Communication design & creative strategy (especially in the social and health space)

  • Storytelling that creates real connections

  • Lessons from running a neurodivergent-led creative agency

  • Tools, mindset shifts, and reflections from the journey

A Bit About Me:

I’m a neurodivergent designer, social entrepreneur and founder of nooh Studio, a co-design agency. My career has always focused on how stories can spark empathy and drive action.

Here’s the journey so far:

  • 🎨 2016 – Foundation at Central Saint Martins

  • 🎓 2019 – Graduated in Graphic Communication Design and published 100 Stories of Cancer

  • 🚀 2020 – Founded my own company after going freelance

  • 🧠 2021–2023 – Ran a growing creative team, completed Master’s at the Royal College of Art x Imperial, focused on healthcare co-design

  • ✍️ 2024 – Launched this blog as a consistent space for reflection, action, and impact

If you’re a creative leader — founder, marketer, social impact doer — this is your place.
